The article presents a new type of self-consistent balanced SAW filters with low losses and impedance conversion based on longitudinally coupled resonators at the cutoff VX/42°LiTaO3. Such filters make it possible to exclude bulky balanced transformers and matching elements from the electronic circuit. The presented balanced SAW filters with impedance conversion, for example, in the input stages of VHF radio stations, ensure the matching of a low-impedance antenna with a high-impedance double balanced mixer, and also effectively suppress the signals of the image channel and local oscillator.
