Description:
PMS-50 is a silicone fluid with a viscosity of 50 mm2/s, used as an additive to other liquids used in everyday life and machinery.
It is classified as medium viscosity silicone oil.

Characteristics:
liquid, colorless, transparent, odorless
kinematic viscosity of PMS-50 at 20ºC is 45-55 cSt, at -50ºC - 500 cSt, at -60ºC - 700 cSt
melting point: -60ºC
flash point:+220ºC or more
pH of the aqueous extract: 6.0- 7.0
Application:
PMS-50 fluid has several areas of application: it is used as a shock absorber, hydraulic and damping fluid in devices; as agents for silicone sealants and compounds; in the textile industry as a lubricant and thermal insulation; serves as an additive to household chemicals and polishes; used for hydrophobic coating of plastic and fiberglass products, is part of hydrophobic powders; as lubricants for artificial fibers.
Composition:
PMS-50 contains no mechanical impurities. Other inclusions account for 37.5-38.5% for silicon, 0.004% for water.
Depending on the modification, the viscosity varies within wide limits. Good water resistance, neutral to most rubbers, plastics and metals. Non-toxic. PMS is the basis for many types of silicone lubricants. Sphere application of organosilicon fluids - polymethylsiloxanes (polydimethylsiloxanes) is very extensive, below are the main directions.
